Virgil WildeyAs the proprietor of Wild(ey) Things Productions, Virgil Wildey boasts 35 years of diverse experience in media relations, with a specialty in crisis and major event communications. Since retiring from his position as Public Relations Director for AT&T in 1996, Virgil has focused on public relations strategies and media relations planning and execution for companies like AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Compaq Computer Corporation. Some of the highlights of his career include designing and implementing the media center at the 1992 Republican National Convention in Houston, the AT&T emergency center in Florida following Hurricane Andrew and serving as the AT&T spokesperson in Atlanta following the bombing at the AT&T Global Olympic Village during the 1996 Olympic Games. Most recently, in 2001 Virgil conceived and implemented a multi-state mobile technology tour for Compaq’s Give Thanks America initiative.
