| Bill WeissAfter retiring in 1997 from more than 25 years’ service at AT&T, Bill Weiss decided to offer his public relations and communications planning expertise through his own business, Weiss Communications. From his first position at AT&T to his last – Public Relations Vice President of the Business Markets Division, a $25 billion unit – Bill sharpened the skills he now offers to his clients, including consulting, writing, speech support, media relations, media training, marketing and employee information support, and creative brainstorming services. Prior to joining AT&T, Weiss spent 11 years in journalism, as a writer and editor for the Wall Street Journal, American Banker, New York Times and Electronics Magazine. Weiss holds the BA and MA degrees in English and American History, respectively, from the City University of New York. He is the author of many papers and essays on science and technology, as well as on themes in American history. He also teaches public relations techniques, and contributes articles on public relations issues to industry media.
